May it be done to you according to your faith!
(Matthew 8:13)
Faith is a firm assurance of things hoped for, a demonstration of things not seen (Heb. 11:1).
But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he who comes to God must believe that God exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him. (Heb. 11:6) God cannot approve the one who does not have faith. Faith begins when we are sure and certain of the existence of the Eternal, the Creator of all things.
We are capable of all things by faith: And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say to this sycamore tree, Uproot thyself, and plant thyself in the sea; and it would obey thee (Luke 17:6).
It is by faith that God answers our prayers: But let him ask in faith, without doubting; for he who doubts is like the waves of the sea, tossed by the wind and driven to and fro. (James 1:6)
Salvation is by faith, and God forgives those who believe: "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9).
