A simple principle for Christians

"Abide in me, and I in you." - John 15:4
Faith is not something mystical.
Faith is you and God.
An intimate, personal and real relationship.
"But you, when you pray, go into your room, shut your door and pray to your Father who is there in the secret place; and your Father, who sees in secret, will repay you." - Matthew 6:6
Does God really exist?

He's not an old man in the sky with a long beard sitting on a golden throne.
God is the creative power of the universe.
And what a grace to have him by our side.
Better still: to have it inside us.
"Abide in me, and I in you." - John 15:4
Sometimes life's trials make us forget who He is.
Often, it's our lack of faith and practice that keeps us from His power.
Jesus said we could heal the sick.
But how many Christians today actually pray for the sick?
Very little.

In 2025, we all too often prefer the things of the world to the things of faith.
And yet, if you knew what rewards there are for those who seek God with all their heart...
That's all you'd do.
God is all-powerful, hyper-powerful.
But if our relationship with Him is neglected, it becomes difficult to perceive His presence.
Get back to basics:
Pray
Read your Bible
Worship
And you'll see: your life really will change.
Make God your best friend.
May your day be inspired and guided by Him.
Edifying words

Have you ever been a representative for someone or something? When you belong to a group of people or represent someone, what you say and how you say it matters a lot. Everything you say reflects the person or thing you represent.
As Christians, we are representatives of Jesus. Paul says we are ambassadors or representatives of Christ because he is no longer physically on earth to serve people (2 Corinthians 5:20 ). Jesus works through his people to accomplish his will on earth.
Since everything we say and do reflects Jesus, we need to choose our words wisely. When we use words to slander, hurt or harm, we don't reflect the heart and character of Jesus. On the other hand, when our words are used to encourage someone, what we say can do tremendous good.

You certainly know the power of words. Has anyone ever said hurtful words to you? Or do you remember the last time someone paid you a compliment? Maybe you still remember how you felt in each of these situations.
You probably couldn't control what was said to you, but you can control what you express to others. So take a few moments to think about the words you've said recently. Have you said anything for which you need to ask forgiveness? Choose today to represent Jesus and his character by intentionally speaking good and uplifting words.
