The Bible calls us to walk like Christ, to be like Him and identify with Him. This is what we call "Christ-like". In 1 John 4:17, the apostle John writes: "As He is, so are we in this world: in this love is perfected in us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment." By becoming aware of this truth, our faith can become spectacular and our relationship with God can be strengthened. In this article, we'll explore what it means to walk in identification with Christ and how it can transform our lives.
When we identify ourselves with Christ, we not only imitate His actions, we also become aware of our position before God. We are in Christ, and He is our identity. By identifying ourselves with Christ, we remember that we are heirs of God, kings and priests, and that everything Christ has accomplished is also available to us. We can pray, heal the sick, cast out demons and perform all the works Jesus did.
By standing in the shoes of Christ, we can understand things in a different way. Christ consciousness can give us a divine perspective on the situations we experience. When we face challenges or difficulties, we can see things with the wisdom and compassion of Christ and face them with confidence. We can understand that everything has been set up for our good, and we can walk in victory.
Our language is also an important aspect of our identification with Christ. We can speak as if it were Christ, using words that glorify God and advance His cause. We can pray like Christ and expect a positive result. We can speak to our mountain as if it were Christ and give it commands. Words have the power to create or destroy, and by speaking like Christ, we can unleash the power of God in our lives.
When we speak to the devil, we can also speak to him as if he were Christ. Satan was defeated at the cross, and we have victory in Christ. By identifying ourselves with Christ, we can speak in the name of Jesus Christ with authority and command the devil to leave. We can resist his temptations and lies and stand firm in the faith.
Walking in identification with Christ is a key element of our Christian life. It reminds us of our position in Christ and gives us access to His power and victory. By becoming aware of our identity in Christ, we can walk in the assurance and abundance of the life God has for us. We can speak with authority and walk in victory, knowing that all has been accomplished for our good. As the saying goes, "It's never too late to (re)start doing better by God". May this truth resonate in your hearts and inspire you to walk in identification with Christ every day.
Bless you!
