The True Children of God.

Listen, Keep and Apply God's Word!

He keeps the Word of God, which he meditates on daily: "He that keepeth his commandments abideth in God, and God in him."

He has the Holy Spirit and God listens to him: "He dwells in us through the Spirit he has given us. (1 John 3:24)
He has the assurance of eternal life and abides in the truth in all things.
God's children are characterized by many things.

The first is that they keep God's Word. That means they study it and think about it regularly. They don't just read it once and then forget about it. The second is that they have the Holy Spirit living in them.
The third is that they have the assurance of eternal life.
The fourth is that they remain true in all things.

These things set them apart from those who don't know God.
God's children are also characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

This fruit of the Spirit is the result of the Holy Spirit living within them. It is the proof that they are true children of God.
