The Life I Live Now
JI have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
I'm often asked how I live my life now that I've been crucified with Christ. The answer is simple: by faith. And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 tells us that it is no longer we who live, but the Christ who lives in us. And that's why this life is no longer about us, it's about Him.
Living by faith
So what does it mean to live by faith?
It means living a life submissive to Christ and trusting him for everything. It means following his example and obeying his commandments. It means living a life of self-denial and submission to his lordship. In short, it means putting our trust in Him rather than in ourselves. And when we do this, we find true freedom and joy.
Dying to oneself
Of course, living by faith also means dying to oneself. We can't go on living our lives for ourselves if we want to follow Christ. We must be willing to die to our old ways of thinking and living. We have to be willing to give up our own plans and dreams in favor of his plans and dreams for our lives. But when we do this, we discover that his plans are so much better than anything we could have imagined on our own!
Following Christ isn't easy. It means abandoning our old ways of living and submitting to His lordship. But when we do, we find true freedom and joy. If you're struggling today, know that you're not alone. Take comfort in knowing that there is hope - hope in Jesus Christ, who loves you and gave Himself for you.
God bless you all!
