Seeking balance in all things

There is a time for everyone, and everyone in his or her time. There is a time to be born and a time to die. There is a time to plant and a time to harvest. There is a time to work and a time to rest. In all these things, there must be a sense of balance.

We mustn't bring so many children into the world that we can't look after them properly. We don't have to work so hard that we forget to enjoy life.

And we mustn't rest to the point of laziness. Everything must be done in moderation and with the greater good in mind. As the saying goes, "Everything is lawful, but not everything is useful".

When we seek balance in all things, we can more easily achieve excellence in everything we do. And that's what I pray for - that God will grant me the wisdom and grace to become excellent in all things, as He is excellent in all things.

In God I find my balance!
