Perseverance and faith in God

While Jesus was facing a period of great anguish and inner turmoil, an angel from heaven came to visit him and give him the strength to meet the challenge he was facing.
As his prayers intensified, we can only imagine the spiritual battle that played out mentally in his mind until the sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground.

Even after being strengthened by heavenly help, Jesus was still faced with the difficult task of awakening his disciples, who were asleep with overwhelming grief. In a firm but gentle tone, he asked them to wake up and pray not to give in to temptation.

This moment provided a powerful example, for Christians and non-Christians alike, of perseverance and faith in God in times of crisis.
