Don't give in to temptation
In Luke 22:39-41, we learn that Jesus went to the Mount of Olives and told his disciples to pray that they would not give in to temptation. He knew temptations were coming, and he wanted them to be prepared and protected.
After that, Jesus moved "a stone's throw" away from them and knelt in prayer, asking his father to remove that cup, but ultimately submitting to the Father's will, "not my will, but yours be done." This is an incredibly profound moment in the Christian faith, and an example of unshakeable faith.
As Christians, we can see this episode as a reminder to always put our faith before anything else, no matter how difficult or uncertain the outcome.
For those who want proof of God's presence in their lives, there are many real-life stories that involve submitting our own wills to His.
- When we surrender ourselves to the realization of His plan, that's when we see miracles happen.
God is great and powerful!
