Declare the Word
"Today the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will slay you and cut off your head; today I will give the dead bodies of the Philistines to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth. And all the earth will know that Israel has a God." (1Sam. 17:46)
Don't be afraid to declare God's Word. When the Word is released, it goes into the realm of the spirit and brings about the change you need. The Word has the power to accomplish what it says.
The Christian life is a life of confession. It begins the moment you accept Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. But it doesn't stop there. You must continue to proclaim the Word, for it is creative, saving and restorative. By doing so, you publicly commit God. Don't forget that He said: "He who honors me, I honor".
If we take the case of David, he was facing the giant Goliath. He wasn't afraid to engage God in front of everyone. He confessed that he would cut off Goliath's head. But David had no sword in his hand. God had to defend his holy name because David had publicly mentioned him. So it was up to God to set up a scenario where David would end up with a sword in hand.
Surely the Lord had dispatched an angel to come and scrape off Goliath. In the physical world, everyone had seen the stone thrown by David, but in the reign of the spirit it was quite a different matter.
By the end of the story, David had retrieved Goliath's sword and ended up cutting his neck as he had previously declared.
Don't be silent when faced with life's challenges. Declare the Word of God; it will go into the spirit realm and bring about the miracle you desire. A closed mouth is a closed destiny.
Shalom!
