Christian Values: A Compass for Life
Today's technological development is out of step with moral values. People are losing their sense of ethics and morality. We live in a society where anti-values are on the rise, and where there is a growing lack of true role models. In Europe, the USA, Africa, Asia and the major international organizations, many of their leaders are being prosecuted for moral and financial crimes. Churches, churchmen and Christians are no exception.
If there's one place where integrity, honesty, justice and piety should be sought, it's the Church.
"Do all things without murmuring or wavering, that you may be blameless in the midst of a perverse and corrupt generation, among whom you shine as torches in the world, bearing the word of life; and I may boast in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain nor labored in vain." (Philippians 2:14-16)
Christians must shine in the midst of the darkness of their society, much as the sun, moon and stars shine from an inky sky.
Value is the rightness of a thing; it's the nobility of a person's character. It's the price we attach to something intellectual, moral or spiritual. It's an ideology, a rule, a foundation. Attach yourself to the values extolled in God's Word. You can emphasize this teaching by meditating in depth on Psalm 73:1-17.
May the Lord bless you!
