Be part of the Plan

In the beginning, God created all things.

Galaxies and volcanoes, fireflies and diamonds, oaks and great white sharks. Finally, saving the best for last, He created mankind in His own image: to fill the earth, reign over His creatures and cultivate a world that glorifies Him.

But even before the beginning, God was already there. He instituted time and space, while himself existing outside time and space. Long before you were born, He already knew everything about you: your strengths and weaknesses, your successes and failures.

He knew all about you and chose to create you... because he loves you!

"For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them."
Ephesians 2:10

Then you are God's work, sometimes translated as masterpiece, work or work of art.

You are also God's masterpiece because of the unique spirit, personality and gifts woven into you.

Because we know that God is brighter than we could ever imagine, that he loves us more than we could dare hope, and that he writes great stories, we can therefore trust what he has planned from beginning to end.

So, you're part of his plan. Yes, you! He's got good things in store for you: rewarding relationships and rewarding work. He continually puts people and opportunities in your path, and he works in you, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases him. Philippians 2:13.

What's more, he has equipped you to cooperate with him in living the greatest story on earth.

So when you think about how God has intentionally designed you, how He has placed you at this particular moment in history, what passions and callings has He placed in your heart? It could be one great work or many small things. Thinking about it, what decision do you need to make to pursue your calling with the confidence God gives you?
