What is Piety

Piety is linked to having a correct relationship with God. We often associate it with religious devotion or being devout. But piety is really about living our faith in all areas of our lives. It's about living a holy life that is pleasing to God. And that's something we should all strive for.

So how do you practice piety?

The first step is to develop a personal relationship with God. This means spending time with him in prayer and Bible study. We need to get to know him and his will for our lives. We must also entrust our lives to him and seek to please him in everything we do.

Another way to practice godliness is to seek to influence the world for Christ. We can do this by sharing our faith with others and living our lives in ways that draw others to Christ. We should also get involved in ministries that advance the Gospel and help meet the needs of others. By serving God and others, we show our love for God and reflect His glory in the world around us.

Finally, we need to stay close to other believers. There is strength in numbers, and we need the support of other Christians as we strive to live holy lives. We can encourage each other, pray for each other and hold each other to account. We can also learn from each other as we walk this path together.

Piety is much more than being religious or pious. It's about having a right relationship with God and living out our faith in all areas of our lives. It's something we should all strive for, and it's not always easy. But if we stay close to God and to other believers, we can practice godliness and please God in everything we do.
