Hold on to God
The epistle of Jude is a short letter of warning and encouragement. Jude writes to believers and warns them of the ungodly in their midst. Some of them teach false doctrines and want to turn them away from the right path at all costs.
Jude asks them to have confidence because they are anchored in God's Truth, and must not let themselves be affected by the vebin of those who slander them and work to divide them.
It recalls Jesus' own words of encouragement to the disciples (Jude 1:17). So we must constantly remember the Lord's words and recommendations to remain faithful to Him.
He also encourages them to remain faithful to the Gospel they have received and believe, and to continue praying by the Holy Spirit. Studying the Scriptures, Praying by the Spirit, Living in Love and Remaining Faithful to God are the essential elements of a mature Christian life.
That's why Jude 1:21 tells us to remain in God's love until the day Jesus returns to make all things new. God's love is not a mental image, but a life with another in which we participate by bringing reign, goodness and kingdom values.
Let us study and seek to understand the Scriptures so that our faith is strengthened in divine truths. Likewise, let's pray regularly and learn to listen to God's voice. The more we do, the more we'll be immersed in His great love.
Take a few moments to think about how you can improve your intimacy and prayer life.
