Truth is: none of us is perfect
"Don't do anything to get ahead of others or for others to admire you - it's worthless. On the contrary, be simple and think that others are better than you." (Philippians 2:3)
We all tend to think we're better than others, or that we have to do things to impress others. But the truth is that none of us is perfect, and we all have our own gifts and talents.
When we think others are better than us, it puts us in a position of humility and allows us to see the good in others. It also allows us to focus on our own gifts and talents, and not compare ourselves to others.
When we think others are better than us, it helps us to be more grateful for what we have and not take things for granted.
So the next time you're feeling down or need to do something to impress others, remember that it's not worth it. Be humble and think that others are better than you.
It's a much more rewarding way to live. When you think that others are better than you, you'll be more inclined to make an effort to give your best. You'll also be less inclined to think about impressing others and focus instead on being the best version of yourself. As a result, you'll be more fulfilled and happier with your life. The next time you're feeling down, take a step back and think about what someone else is doing better than you. This will remind you that there's always room for improvement, and that life is more rewarding when you strive to become the best version of yourself.
There's a difference between "Think others are better than you" and "Others are better than you". The latter is destructive and not encouraging. Everyone has talents they're good at, and weaknesses. What's certain is that you may meet someone better than you in some areas, but not necessarily in all. Be humble and willing to learn, even from someone who seems less strong than you. We all agree that nobody's perfect, but feeling superior to others is tantamount to stopping learning and progressing. Be humble and learn, even if you feel you're the best.
God bless you, amen!
