The parable of a stubborn widow
God brings justice to his chosen ones. The Impossible is possible with God. Don't lose hope, God is in control
The statement " What is impossible is possible for God" (Luke 18:27).is popular and is often attributed to Jesus Christ. But where does this claim come from?
In the Bible, there are several different places where Jesus says something similar. For example, in Luke 18:27, Jesus tells the parable of an obstinate widow who persists in asking a judge for justice. The judge initially ignores her, but eventually gives in because he knows she won't stop pestering him until she gets what she wants.
This story highlights an important truth about God: He is always ready to listen to our prayers, no matter how many times we ask.
Then Jesus said, "And will not God do justice to his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he not turn them away again and again? I tell you, he will see to it that they get justice, and quickly.
Here, Jesus is saying that God will answer the prayers of his people, even if it seems impossible to men. This is just one example of how the Bible shows us that with God, nothing is impossible.
Just as the widow kept approaching the judge until he finally gave in, we should never lose hope that God will answer our prayers. He may not always answer in the way we expect, but he will always hear them. This promise from Jesus reminds us that, no matter how impossible our situation may seem, God is always with us and always ready to help.
So when we face challenges or obstacles in our lives, we can remember that "what is impossible is possible for God."
We can all learn a lot from Jesus Christ, who is the perfect example of someone who believed that what is impossible is possible with God. When we have faith and trust in Him, He can help us accomplish anything we want. What an extraordinary gift it is to be able to call on God's power whenever we need it!
With God's help and guidance, anything is possible! What do you think?
