Testimony of Stella
Hello beloved!
Stella, a young woman from Zimbabwe, was living in the United States and couldn't find any interesting work. Then, on the advice of an uncle of hers, she decided to take a trip to Zimbabwe and went with this uncle to her late father's grave and to the family ancestral hut to offer sacrifices. She prepared delicious food and placed it on the grave, speaking to the souls of the departed. She begged her father and ancestors to help her find a well-paid job in the United States.
Then, back in the U.S., within two weeks, she was recruited by a large international firm and her salary was very high. Very happy, the following year she returned to Zimbabwe to thank her father's soul and her ancestors at their graves and in the family hut, and offered sacrifices there once again. Her financial situation changed in the United States, and she became very wealthy. The following year, she married a wealthy American industrialist of Cuban origin. They had two children. By the age of 5, the first child had lost the ability to speak and the motor skills of his limbs. Stella tried everything she could think of, but nothing could change in this child's life. She went to major hospitals, but to no avail.
Four years after the wedding, her husband was unfaithful and divorced her. She was devastated and almost committed suicide. She brought up her two sons alone. At the age of 16, her second son was killed by a stray bullet following a shoot-out between rival gangs. Stella succumbed to depression and began a relationship with Jake, a man addicted to drugs. He swindled her and spent her money. Jake emptied most of Stella's bank account and cheated on her again. One night he laid hands on her and threatened her with a gun.
Stella refused to report him, however, because she was in love. She separated from the drug addict and raised her son on her own, who had lost the ability to speak and move his limbs. After several years of service, she was fired from her job and found a lower-paid, humiliating position. She was so sad and constantly plagued by suicidal thoughts. One day, she received a strange text message. It was an invitation: her drug-addicted ex-partner Jake was inviting her to dinner. She couldn't believe her eyes and refused to go.
A few days later, she returned from shopping and saw him standing in front of her gate. One thing caught her eye: Jake had shaved and removed his many curls. He was dressed differently. She welcomed him into her home when he got down on one knee and tearfully apologized. He asked her to forgive him for all the evil he had done, and told her that he had given his heart to Jesus and sincerely wanted to ask forgiveness of the woman he had swindled, manipulated and made to suffer.
Stella was astonished to see such a proud man as Jake get down on his knees and use such language. She didn't say a word to him, but the following week she agreed to accompany him to church. She found the service strange, especially when the pastor condemned sex outside marriage. Her heart was irritated and she resolved never to frequent such circles again. She hated the pastor in her heart and returned home furious. For several months, however, she agreed to meet Jake from time to time.
One day, as she was worrying about her rent arrears, she received good news from the landlord: her unpaid months had just been paid off by Jake. She was touched by this man who had really changed. He no longer drank or smoked. He'd become so gentle with the sick child and worked hard for a living. He no longer had sex outside marriage and was now honest and upright.
After several more months of observation, Stella decided to follow Jake into his church, and she too gave her heart to Jesus. She and Jake decided to get married and lived together. They had two more children and prayed unceasingly for little Bill, who was ill. One evening while they were praying, Jake heard a voice in his mind saying, "Mogor". He was frightened and spoke to his wife, who had no answer. Six days later, Jake had a strange dream in which he heard "Mogor" again, and in this dream he saw a verse on the wall: "Mogor". God is not God of the dead, but of the living"(Mt22:32b). Jake awoke and was troubled by this dream.
The following year, the whole family took a trip to Zimbabwe and were warmly welcomed by the family.
A week after their arrival, Stella's aunt gave birth to a child she named Mogor. The name came as a shock to Jake and Stella. They asked the aunt why she would name her child Mogor. An elderly member of the family replied that Mogor was one of their most generous ancestors, but who in the evening of his life was attacked by sorcerers who cut out his tongue and broke his limbs. As a result, he died losing the use of his speech and the mobility of his limbs.
Stella and her husband Jake burst into tears and asked where Mogor's grave was. The old man replied that, with the passage of time, he no longer had a grave, but that his remains had been dug up and buried in the family hut along with several remains of other ancestors. Stella remembered that it was to this hut that her uncle had taken her many years ago to offer sacrifices to her late father and his ancestors when she was unemployed.
That same evening, they called their Pastor and told him all about it. As soon as they returned to the U.S., the Pastor prayed with Stella and cancelled all the evil decrees. She wept again before the Lord and bitterly regretted the sacrifices made to the dead. She read the Bible verse that reads: "If anyone speaks to the dead and the spirits to play the harlot after them, I will turn My Face against that man, I will cut him off from among his people" (Lev20:6). She wept, and so did her husband.
A year later, a friend of Stella's recommended a new hospital to which she took her son, who was miraculously healed after all those years of suffering and humiliation. Jake and Stella couldn't believe their eyes, and blessed the Lord who is Good and Faithful.
Stella and her husband witnessed the Lord's wonders to anyone who would listen. And as good news doesn't often come alone, Jake found a job that paid more than what he'd been doing before. He earned three times what his wife had previously earned when she was prosperous, and the whole family was free from want.
The miraculously cured Bill grew up and went back to school. Today, he is a speech therapist, specializing in language and expression disorders. A committed Christian and dedicated worker, his expertise is widely recognized, and he has helped many lives to be relieved of their disabilities.
Bless you!
