Lord help me!

O Lord my God, act on my behalf for your name's sake; according to the greatness of your goodness, deliver me!

For I am afflicted and miserable, and my heart is wounded within me. I am gone like the shadow when it fades; I am hunted like the locust. My knees are weak with fasting; my flesh has lost its plumpness. I am a disgrace to them; when they see me, they shake their heads.

Help me, O LORD my God! Save me according to your goodness, so that they may know that it is your hand, that you, LORD, have done it. They will curse, but you will bless; they will exalt themselves, but they will blush, and your servant will rejoice. Let my adversaries be clothed with confusion, and covered with their shame as with a mantle!

My mouth will highly praise the Lord; I will praise him in the midst of the multitude. For he stands at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn his soul.
