Disbelief

Because of the unbelief of the children of Israel, God was unable to work many miracles among them. This is not to say that God was powerless, but rather that the unbelief of the children of Israel hindered His ability to work mightily among them. Because they didn't believe, they didn't see the wonders God had done among their ancestors in Egypt and in the desert.

As a result, they missed out on the blessings that come from seeing God at work in and through his people. But despite their unbelief, God remained faithful to His covenant promises. He continued to work in and through his people, even though they didn't believe. And he continues to do so today.

Thanks to God's faithfulness, goodness, compassion and mercy, we can have hope, even when we struggle with unbelief. Because of God's faithfulness, we can know that he will never leave us or forsake us. Because of God's faithfulness, we can be sure that he will continue to work in and through us, even when we don't always see or understand him. Thank God for his faithfulness.

Amen!
