Let's walk together
"Only to the point we have agreed, let us walk with one step." Philippians 3:16:
You've decided to fight together, so let's walk together. You've decided to undertake a project together. You speak of partnership, of association, of block, of common project, for one and the same objective, then walk with the same step, and God will be your support for success. This is the main message in these writings of the apostle Paul to the Philippians. Oh how pleasant and sweet it is for brothers to be together, that's where God sends blessing. (Psalms 132) And Jesus added, "If the members of an organization kill each other, can it survive?
(Mat. 12:25) If anyone opposes the Son of Man, he will be forgiven; but if anyone opposes the Holy Spirit, he will not receive forgiveness, either in this life or in the world to come.
In this verse, the apostle Paul also mentions discipline as the secret to achieving goals and building organizations that are almost unshakeable. We have to be very disciplined to succeed in our projects. A Christian cannot have a solid faith unless he is sufficiently disciplined. Discipline is respect for rules, respect for the Word of God and fear. A wise person is a disciplined person.
To walk in unison implies, at last, to fix one's gaze on a model. That's why the apostle says: "Be my imitators...". (Phil. 3:17). We should imitate him, and imitate men of dignity.
It's hard to become a great runner if you don't have a model of the greatest to identify with. Who are the great men of faith, and how did they do it?
But God blesses effort, and the seeker finds. Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Mat. 7:7)
Let's walk as one in this divine work of evangelization.
