Let's pray with Psalms 66

1 Au chef des chantres. Canticle. Psalm.

Shout for joy to God, all you inhabitants of the earth!

2 Sing the glory of his name, Celebrate his glory with your praise! 3 Say to God: How awesome are your works! Because of the greatness of your strength, your enemies flatter you. 4 All the earth will bow down before you and sing to you; they will sing to your name. Pause for a moment.

5 Come and see the works of God! He is awesome when he works on the sons of men. 6 He turned the sea into dry land, We crossed the river on foot: Then we rejoiced in him. 7 He rules forever with his power, His eyes watch over the nations: Let not the rebellious rise up! -Pause for a moment.

8 Bless our God, O peoples, and give thanks to him! 9 He has preserved the life of our soul, And has not allowed our foot to stumble.

10 For you have tested us, O God! You have put us through the crucible like silver. 11 You brought us into the net, You laid a heavy burden on our loins, 12 You made men ride on our heads; We have passed through fire and water. But you brought us out of it to give us abundance.

13 I will come to your house with burnt offerings, I will fulfill my vows to you: 14 For them my lips have opened, And my mouth has spoken them in my distress. 15 I will offer to thee fatlings for a burnt offering, With the fat of rams; I will sacrifice sheep with goats. Pause.

16 Come, listen, all you who fear God, And I will tell what he has done to my soul. 17 I cried out to him with my mouth, And praise was on my tongue. 18 If I had conceived iniquity in my heart, The Lord would not have heard me. 19 But God has heard me; He has listened to the voice of my prayer. 20 Blessed be God, Who has not rejected my prayer, Nor withheld His lovingkindness from me!

Amen!
