The apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 8:9 thatFor you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, though he was rich, became poor for you, so that you might be rich through his poverty.

What a wonderful demonstration of God's grace! Jesus, who was rich in every way, voluntarily emptied himself and became poor for us. He didn't have to do it, he chose to do it.

And because he did, we can now approach the throne of grace with confidence, knowing that we have been graciously accepted by God. We have received grace upon grace. Let us never take this wonderful gift for granted, but always remember the One who paid the ultimate price so that we could experience His grace.
