Knowing your value beyond opinions
How often do we let other people's opinions define us? We can lose sight of who we are and our value, when we should be relying on God's opinion of us. Our story is unique and there's no one like us. We shouldn't let other people's opinions define us.
The Bible teaches us that God created each of us for a specific purpose and for His good pleasure (Ephesians 2:10). No matter what others say or think about us, it doesn't change what God says about us. He knows our story better than anyone else, because he created it. God knows our thoughts and hearts, so he sees the things we've experienced in life that may have shaped who we are today.
When it comes to discovering who you are and understanding your value, don't look to other people's opinions as your main source of validation.
This type of validation comes and goes depending on how we feel at any given moment. It can also be based on superficial things like beauty or material objects. In the end, true validation comes from within, from knowing that you were created by a loving heavenly Father who has an incredible plan for your life. (Jeremiah 29:11)
To stand firm in the knowledge that you are precious beyond measure, keep your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ and his word (Hebrews 12:2). Even if no one else recognizes or validates your talents or gifts, know that God does; he has endowed each of us with special talents that are unique only to us! Take the time each day to trust him and pray that he will guide you in fulfilling his plan for your life, trusting in you and all the gifts he has given you.
It's easy to get attached to what other people think of you or say about you, but remember this: their opinion will never replace God's and take nothing away from the great things God has done for you. To live confidently as a child of God, it's important to focus on how He sees you, not how others see you. Ultimately, what matters most is what YOU think of yourself; be proud of who you're meant to be and always rely on Him when times get tough!
God bless you!
