Justification by Faith

Justification by faith is the doctrine that teaches that a person is declared righteous by God on the basis of his or her faith alone, regardless of any good works he or she may or may not have done. This doctrine is found throughout the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation. Abraham, for example, was justified by faith when he believed that God would fulfill His promise to make him the father of many nations (Genesis 15:6).

In the New Testament, we see that justification by faith is always the same: it is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ.

And whoever believes is justified by him from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses (Acts 13:39).

God's righteousness through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. There is no distinction. (Romans 3:22)
Nevertheless, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but through faith in Christ Jesus, we also have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law. (Galatians 2:16)

Justification by faith brings many spiritual blessings to the believer, including peace with God (Romans 5:1), adoption into his family (Galatians 4:5) and the presence of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:9-10).

All these blessings are available to us because of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. He bore our sins and took our punishment upon himself, so that we can be forgiven and have eternal life. Thanks to his great love for us, we can now enjoy peace and life - both here on earth and in eternity. Thank you, Lord, for your goodness and mercy!
