Jesus Christ is our righteousness and justice
In the Bible, Jesus Christ is often described as our righteousness and justice.
As believers, we look to Jesus for his grace, love, goodness and mercy in our lives, as he reconciles us to God. It is through him that we are made just and fair.
Let's explore what the Bible says about how we can receive righteousness and justice through Jesus Christ.
The Bible tells us that those who trust in Jesus have been made "righteous" by his sacrifice on the cross (2 Corinthians 5:21). This means that even if we have committed sins, they have been washed away by the blood of Jesus, making us righteous again in God's eyes. We are no longer considered guilty or condemned, but are freed from guilt and condemnation (Romans 8:1-2). This gives us hope that, whatever mistakes we make in life, God still loves us and will continue to forgive us if we come to him in faith.
Justice through Jesus Christ
The Bible also tells us that God's justice comes through Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:5). We can find justice, or a sense of fairness, by trusting in Jesus and accepting him as our Savior. When we accept his gift of grace, we are forgiven of all our past, present and future sins (John 3:16), which gives us the peace of mind to know that, even though life is full of struggles, he will always be there for us and will never leave us (Hebrews 13:5).
Jesus Christ is not only a source of love and mercy; he is also a source of righteousness and justice. By believing in him and seeing him as our Savior, we benefit from both grace and justice, two things that can often seem impossible to achieve on our own.
The Bible encourages us to seek these gifts from the Lord so that we can experience true freedom from guilt and condemnation. So, if you're looking for righteousness today, look no further than Jesus Christ! He alone has the power to save you from your sins.
God bless you all!
