How to heal a wounded mind?

But it was for our sins that he was pierced, for our iniquities that he was broken. The chastisement that gives us peace fell on him, and by his wounds we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5)

Why have the kings of the earth all risen up and the great ones conspired against God and against the man who received his anointing? They cry out together, "Let us break all their bonds and cast away their chains!". But he who sits on his throne in heaven laughs. The Lord laughs at them (Psalm 18:2-4).
To heal wounds of the spirit and even of the soul, the first good point is forgiveness.
You have to forgive the person who hurt you.

When forgiveness takes its place in your heart, then you're able to move forward. Did you know that a prison guard is a prisoner?

God never said that others, your neighbors, wouldn't hurt you. He knew it would happen. And He went ahead and asked you to forgive, so that the peace of your heart would not be disturbed.
The second point is love. You must love your neighbor as God has loved you. He did it by giving himself up for you.

Unforgiveness is like those lovely red tomatoes you put in your bag and keep locked up for a while. A week later, the tomatoes are rotten and the bag is in bad shape. You've lost both the bag and the tomatoes.

The poor condition of the bag represents the poor health of the nerves and other parts of your body, including your mind.
Rotten tomatoes represent destroyed relationships.

You can heal this pain you feel,

Set your heart free. If you must weep, weep before the Lord Jesus Christ.

Say to him: Lord, it is you who must dwell in me, for I am your temple.

Bless you!
