God is with you
Have you ever asked God, "Where are you?"
Some days we feel like we're going through life alone. Sometimes we feel that God is not present or with us. Sometimes we even think he's abandoned us when we're going through a difficult time.
The nation of Israel has been through this many times. They have cried out to God in times of pain and exile. She has been honest in her prayers to God, for she has entrusted Him with her feelings without pretense in adversity.
In response to Israel's prayers, God spoke through prophecy. He gave comfort and hope to his people. He reminded them of his promises and the absence of variations in his character.
Even if we sometimes feel that God has abandoned us, we know from his promises that he is always with us. Even in the worst moments of loneliness or the most troubled times, God stands by our side. He is our companion through every stage of our lives.
Not only is he with us, but he also promises to strengthen us and help us through difficult times. When we think we no longer have the strength we need to move forward, God gives us his own strength.
God provides us with the help we need to enable us to live according to his will. He doesn't promise to give us his strength to do as we please, but he does give us the courage and power to keep moving forward according to his plans for our lives.
That's why we should rely on God's promises and trust him in the midst of adversity. We should believe that he will equip and strengthen us, no matter what trial we face.
Today, take the time to say a prayer to God. If you feel he's distant, ask him to come closer to you. If you feel weak, ask him to strengthen you. He promises to sustain you, so believe his promises. Continue to build a relationship with God, and seek his presence. As you move forward with him, your strength will be renewed.
