Building a Right World Vision according to God

Although the world is real, our perception of reality is influenced by our upbringing, experiences and beliefs. Each of us constructs his or her own view of the world, which explains why two people may see the same situation in completely different ways.
But then, how can you have a vision that's right and aligned with the truth?

The Bible teaches us that our understanding of the world must be renewed by God's wisdom.
"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." (Romans 12:2)
If we want to see the world as God sees it, we must let His Word shape our thoughts and attitudes.

Five Principles for a Vision Aligned with God

1. Seeking truth in God's Word

"Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105)
We mustn't rely solely on our emotions or the opinions of the world. God gives us His Word as a guide to discern what is true and what is not.
- Read and meditate on the Bible every day to better understand spiritual reality.

2. Develop a spirit of wisdom and discernment

"The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord; and the knowledge of the saints is understanding." (Proverbs 9:10)
Our judgments are often influenced by our personal experiences. But by asking God for wisdom, we can see things with greater clarity and objectivity.
- Pray to God to give us wisdom in our decisions.

3. Keeping a pure and renewed heart

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8)
A heart filled with resentment or judgment prevents us from seeing reality with love and kindness. God calls us to purify our thoughts in order to see others as He sees them.
- Forgive, cultivate love and avoid negative thoughts.

4. Learning to see beyond appearances

"Man looks at what strikes the eye, but the Lord looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)
We tend to judge people and situations by appearances, but God invites us to look beyond that and seek the deeper truth.
- Don't rush to judgment, but take the time to listen and understand.

5. Put your trust in God rather than in your own perception

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your wisdom." (Proverbs 3:5)
Our own analyses can be biased. But if we put our thoughts and decisions in God's hands, He will guide us to the truth.
- Submit our thoughts and choices to God through prayer and listening to the Holy Spirit.

A Vision Transformed by God

The world is full of uncertainties and differing opinions, but God calls us to see with the eyes of faith and truth. When we align our worldview with His Word, we live with greater peace, wisdom and clarity.
So today, choose to see the world through God's eyes.

Prayer: Lord, renew my mind and purify my eyes, so that I may see reality as You see it. Help me to walk in truth and wisdom every day. Amen.

Shalom
