To be good and pleasing to God
The Bible tells us that God is good, and that those who do good are of God. This means that if we want to be children of God, we have to do good deeds.
John writes to Gaius, congratulating him on his hospitality and love. He says that Gaius lives in truth and does good works, which means he is of God. This is significant, because it shows that those who are of God will do good works.
It's not enough to believe in God or even to follow his commandments, we must also actively do good in the world. This is how we show our love for God and our neighbor. When we see someone in need, we must help. When we see injustice, we must speak out. When we witness violence, we must bring comfort. In doing so, we imitate God's character and bring his love to the world.
First, we must always seek to do what's best for others, even if it means personal sacrifice. Second, we must avoid harming others, either physically or emotionally. Finally, we must strive to live the laws according to God's and principles. When we follow these guidelines, we can be sure that we are doing what is good and pleasing to God.
Young people have many talents and abilities. There are many opportunities for them to invest these talents at a high rate to work for God's cause. It's not for their personal pleasure, but to glorify the Lord.
They can do this by working in missions, volunteering in churches and other religious organizations, or working in Christian businesses. By doing this, they can help spread the Gospel and make a difference in the world. It's a great way to use their talents and abilities to glorify God.
Whatever your talents, there's a way to use them for the Lord's work. And when you do, you'll find that He blesses your efforts in ways you could never have imagined.
It's not always easy to put aside our own desires and work for the Lord, but it's always worth it. The Lord has called us to use our talents for His glory, and when we do, we'll be amazed at what He can accomplish through us.
The mighty Sovereign of heaven, the King of glory, made the immense sacrifice of coming into our world to uplift and ennoble mankind. We read in the Scriptures that he "went about doing good".
God has a vineyard. Yes, there is a vineyard where everyone can do good work. It's a place of beauty and peace, where the air is sweet and the sun shines. But this vineyard is also a place of suffering, because humanity needs help everywhere. Young students, you can win the hearts of those who suffer with timely words, or with help that may require physical effort on your part. You have the power to make a difference in this world, and the grapevine needs your help.
Won't you come and give us a hand?
This attitude will not cause you to fall; rather, it will bring you divine approval and help to make the talents entrusted to you bear fruit.
Young people should always seek to put to good use the muscles and spirit God has given them. They must come to the aid of their fellow men, lightening their heavy workloads, softening their sadness, lifting up the discouraged and comforting the hopeless with their words. We must turn students' minds away from the foolishness and folly that would often lead them beyond their dignity as men and women, towards shame and dishonour.
The Eternal One desires to see high spirits, in search of an ideal, full of the noble thought of making themselves useful.
A true Christian is one who is willing to sacrifice self-interest for the happiness of others, and who strives to bring relief to the unfortunate.
Every disposition to do good comes from God.
The glory with which men cover themselves by their brilliant and generous deeds belongs to the Lord.
It's blessing glory to God
