As it is, so will you be

The glare of the sun hurts the eyes of those who stare at it.
Not so Jesus Christ, the Sun of Righteousness.
The more our eyes are fixed on him,
the more clairvoyant the eye of faith becomes.
Look at Jesus; the closer you look at him,
the more you love him, the more you'll want to feed off him.

As he is, as you will be, he is the same Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever. And he's coming back soon. If you want to know what he's like, look at yourself, because he's the same as you. He loves you unconditionally and he wants to have a relationship with you. So don't be afraid to come to him as you are. He will never reject you or push you away. He will always welcome you with open arms.
Remember, without ceasing, what he is to you, and what he has done for you. And,
especially since your main object is his Precious Blood flowing from his wounds.
If this thought doesn't fix you, the slightest wind will be able to stir you up and make you fall into temptation.

Do you want to see how enormous and condemnable your sins are?
to learn to hate and moan about them?
Don't stop to examine them as they are in you,
but approach Jesus on the cross, and read in his suffering, bloody body what sin is.

At the same time, do you want to make sure that you're well on your way to salvation?
Don't begin by examining the works of grace and holiness that may have been produced in you,
but first go to the Savior,
to see how you are with him.
If you've got it, you've got it all.
Once I've assured you of this, I'll let you repeat the experiences you've had in the school of his grace.
