Justice and reward

Justice is something we all need. We want to know that the world is fair, that good will be rewarded and evil will be punished.

And yet it often seems to be the other way around. The innocent suffer while the guilty go free. The meek are trampled underfoot while the wicked prosper.

At times like these, it can be tempting to abandon justice altogether. But as Christians, we know that in the end, justice belongs to God. He's the one who put the world in order, and he's the one who will eventually set things right, especially in favor of the righteous. Amen!
