God wants to build with us
(2Kings 22:17) Because they have forsaken me and burned incense to other gods, to provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands, my wrath is kindled against this place, and it shall not be quenched.
Turning one's back on the Lord is the source of all the evils a people can have, even worse when they have walked with him and tasted his goodness. In the book of Proverbs it is written: " As the dog returns to his vomit, so the fool returns to his folly.. "
It's clearly absurd to begin on the inside and end on the outside. And who can live if God turns his back on him? "When you forsake the Lord and serve foreign gods, he will return to harm you, and consume you after he has done you good."
(Joshua 20:24) Dare we ask this question at every stage of our lives: where is my God, and who is the one I serve and adore right now? This question will help us stay on track.
