God cannot be created by man

There was a time when each people worshipped its own god. That was before the true God was revealed. Christ came to reveal the true God to us. In him we are in the True One, for he is the True God (1 John 5).

We also know that God is the creator of all things, including man. But the gods of old were objects made by human hands. The bye-ri, ngil (for the Fang), and everything else that can be found among every people in the world, but which are objects made from natural materials, are not gods and must not be worshipped.

Man cannot create God. If man creates God, then God is no longer God, for he becomes a creature of man.

Now, if the True One had allowed these blunders at the time, it was just to enable man to learn to adore him.

God is unique, eternal and perfect. Ancient masks should no longer be seen as gods, but as part of our history. Finally, God is God, not a question of ethnicity, people or religion.
