God has called you to salvation
(Isaiah, 42:6): "I, the LORD, have called you for salvation, and I will take you by the hand, and keep you, and appoint you to make a covenant with the people, to be the light of the nations..."
As we enter Holy Week, the week of Easter, the prophet Isaiah reminds us in this verse of the mystery of God's plan of salvation for humanity. The ability of Jesus Christ alone to realize this plan is what gives meaning to his name Christ or Messiah (the Anointed).
Every Christian is thus endowed with a mission to continue the work of Jesus Christ. This does not mean that Christ's work was unfinished, but that we must reveal to the people of the world the good news of the manifestation of God's love: on the cross, Jesus Christ paid for everything. Baptism is therefore a sign of acceptance of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ in his death and resurrection, and a solemn commitment to continue his work for the salvation of all mankind..
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit," Christ told the disciples (Matthew 28:19).
The Lord says: I have called you to salvation, to make a covenant with you, that you should be the light of the world... (Isaiah 42:6) In this work, each one performs with the gift he received from the Lord. Saint-Esprit. If anyone is unaware of his gift, let him ask God, who will reveal it to him. Amen.
