Knowing Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the central theme of the Bible, also known as the Holy Scriptures. Today, we're going to talk about His divinity.

The expression "the divinity of Christ" means that Christ himself is God. This truth is clearly shown in the Bible:

1. The Same Attributes As God :

• Perpetual existence: Jesus exists before the creation of the world, he has no beginning. (John 17:5)
• Omnipresence: He is everywhere at the same time (Mat. 18:20).
• Omnipotence: He is omnipotent. (Mat. 28: 18)
• Omniscience: He knows everything (John 2:24-25).
• Immutability: He is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb. 13:8)

2. The Works Of God Were Accomplished By Jesus Christ :

• He created all things (John 1:3; Colossians 1:16-17).
• He makes all things subsist (Colossians 1:16-17).
• He came out of the tomb by his own power. (John 2:19)
• He raises the dead. (John 6:40)
• He forgives the sins of sinners. (Mat. 9: 6)

3. Jesus Christ Is Often Called God:

• God the Father called the Son God (Heb. 1:8).
• Men called Him God, and He did not refuse their worship. (John 20:28)
• The demons recognized him as God (Mark 1:24).
• John declared that he is the True God. (1 John 5:20).
