Save your life!

God is no respecter of persons. The Bible introduces us to a prostitute named Rahab. She played a key role on behalf of God's people.

Joshua, Son of Num, wanted to conquer the city of Jericho, and knew he would need a plan. So he secretly sent two men on a reconnaissance mission. He instructed them: "Go and explore the country, especially the city of Jericho! The two spies set off. When they arrived in Jericho, they entered the house of a prostitute named Rahab. They spent the night there.

The king of Jericho was informed of the presence of the two Israelite spies in his territory, and that they had arrived at Rahab's house to reconnoiter the area.

(Joshua2:2) It is written: "Then he sent to Rahab the prostitute, saying: Give us the men who came to you and are staying in your house, for they have come to spy out the whole country. But the woman took the two men and hid them, then answered: 'Yes, some men did come to my house, but I didn't know where they were from'".

The Bible teaches us here how Joshua, being an intelligent and prudent man, took care to follow the example given to him by Moses. Namely, first examine the land, then take steps to conquer it, paying particular attention to any potential obstacles or enemies present in the city. Joshua's goal was to take possession of the land they had been promised.

The prostitute had a revelation about God's people. And, she knew how God worked on their behalf against their adversary. Thus, Rahab recognized the actual and apparent greatness of their God in everything they undertook.

It says: "Since we have heard this news, our hearts have failed us, and no one has the courage to stand up to you. For it is the Lord your God who is God, in heaven above and on earth here below".

This woman's story leads us to believe in Jesus Christ so that we and our families can be saved. Submit to God, it's never too late. God is the creator of heaven and earth, full of goodness and mercy. He forgives all our iniquities, making us righteous men and women before him, through the grace of his son Jesus Christ. So he can use us all, no matter what your background, or who you are.

These scriptures show us how this prostitute saved her family by hiding the 2 spies on her roof. Today you too can save your life and that of your family. You can be a blessing to the next generation. You can also save your life and that of someone else. You can change the way you look at your past, and the way people look at you. God can use whoever he wants, to save someone else's life.

Even though prostitutes' pasts can make them appear a disgrace to the family or nothing more than an enemy of humanity, she helped God's people conquer Jericho. Her good cooperation meant that she and her house were saved. You too can change your own history and enter your own destiny!

All we need to do is accept Jesus Christ into our lives, and start doing good deeds to be saved - this act of faith will erase our past mistakes so that they are no longer visible in order to make amends to all those around us.

Then you must understand that God can use you, me, anyone to save a life. We must all put ourselves at the service of our God at any moment. We must listen to our hearts and seek God's face with all our strength. We must listen to God's word. Because it is in our hearts that God speaks to us. We all need to understand that God can use us, in any of life's situations.

And here's how God saved Rahab's life with all her family because she did God a favor. It is written (Joshua 6:17) "The city shall be utterly devoted to the Lord, it and all that is in it; but Rahab the harlot and all who are with her in the house shall be allowed to live, because she hid the messengers we sent.".

God's grace will manifest itself in your life if you are willing to open the doors of your heart. The Word of God teaches us that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Accepting to be the temple of the Holy Spirit means letting the Holy Spirit work in your life. He will teach you the voices of God. He will instruct you and lead you in the right path.

It's imperative to recognize that God's work is within you. Your life depends on it. Believe in the Lord, and you and your family will be saved in this uncertain world. God is merciful, slow to anger and rich in goodness. His goodness knows no end. Cling to him forever.

(Acts 16:31) "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and yours".
