The Bible teaches us that silence is precious:
Jesus himself often took time to withdraw into solitude and silence to pray and recharge his batteries (Luke 5:16). If the Son of God needed it, how much more do we!

Why learn to be silent?

Proverbs 17:28 says:
"Even a fool, when he is silent, passes for wise; he who shuts his lips is an intelligent man."
Silence helps us to :
1. Listening to God: In silence, we hear his voice clearly.
2. Controlling our emotions: It prevents us from speaking out of anger or fear.
4. Cultivate inner peace: less useless talk, more serenity.

The benefits of silence for our well-being

The Bible declares:
"Stop, and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10).
This verse invites us to slow down and trust God, rather than worry and fret in vain.

Psalm 147:3 says:
"He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds."

An inspiring story: The silence that heals

She prayed: « Seigneur, tu vois mon cœur.

How do you practice silence?

1. Make time each day for silence and prayer. (Matthew 6:6)
2. Don't react immediately to provocation. (James 1:19)
3. Fill your silence with meditation on the Word of God (Joshua 1:8).
4. Use silence to listen and understand others (Proverbs 10:19).
Silence is strength and protection. It brings us closer to God, enables us to grow in wisdom and offers us a path to peace and healing. If you're going through a difficult time, choose silence and let God work.

Amen!

[24,23

post-3833","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-enseignements-biblique","category-magazine-chretien
["GET
