\n\t\tBe a Light\n\t<\/h1>\n\tImagine : une grande ville avec des gratte-ciel, un village situ\u00e9 au sommet d’une colline et entour\u00e9 de fermes florissantes, un hameau pr\u00e8s de l’oc\u00e9an au sommet d’une falaise imposante. Les villes sont impressionnantes en elles-m\u00eames, mais elles sont incontestablement plus rayonnantes lorsqu’elles sont situ\u00e9es sur une colline. Et, elles sont encore plus \u00e9clatantes lorsqu’elles sont totalement illumin\u00e9es durant la nuit.
\nLorsque J\u00e9sus s’adressa \u00e0 la foule et \u00e0 ses disciples dans son c\u00e9l\u00e8bre sermon sur la montagne, il leur dit :
\n\"You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.\"<\/strong>
\nMatthew 5:14
\nAlors qu’il continuait son message, J\u00e9sus expliqua que de m\u00eame qu’une ville situ\u00e9e sur une colline ou une lampe sur un support, \u00ab Que votre lumi\u00e8re luise ainsi devant les hommes, afin qu’ils voient vos bonnes \u0153uvres, et qu’ils glorifient votre P\u00e8re qui est dans les cieux \u00bb<\/strong> (Matthew 5:16).
\nJesus often used metaphors to get people thinking. So here are six points to consider as you meditate on this verse:\n

1. Everything belongs to him<\/h4>\n

Nous ne sommes une lumi\u00e8re que lorsque nous portons en nous la lumi\u00e8re, sa lumi\u00e8re, laquelle luit \u00e0 travers nous. Toute bonne chose vient d’abord de lui. Cette v\u00e9rit\u00e9 doit nous permettre de d\u00e9velopper en nous une humble assurance.<\/p>\n

2. We have been chosen<\/h4>\n

Nous ne pouvons rien faire pour obtenir l’honneur et la responsabilit\u00e9 d’\u00eatre un r\u00e9flecteur de lumi\u00e8re. C’est un titre qui nous est donn\u00e9 afin que notre l\u00e9gitimit\u00e9 \u00e0 le poss\u00e9der soit irr\u00e9futable.<\/p>\n

3. Don't hide<\/h4>\n

La lumi\u00e8re de Dieu en nous ne peut \u00eatre cach\u00e9e. Lorsque nous le suivons v\u00e9ritablement, elle est \u00e9vidente et ind\u00e9niable. C’est pourquoi, nous pouvons briller pour lui avec assurance et sans honte.<\/p>\n

4. Switch on light<\/h4>\n

Nous ne voulons pas que le monde autour de nous s’assombrisse davantage, la Bible nous enseigne cependant que c’est in\u00e9vitable. Et pourtant, sa lumi\u00e8re brille encore mieux dans les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres.<\/p>\n

5. More darkness<\/h4>\n

Followers of Christ are to be a ray of light, illuminating God's truth and shining His love. Whoever follows Jesus will never again walk in darkness. Jesus spoke again in public: \"I am the light of the world,\" he said. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness: he will have the light of life.\"<\/strong> (John 8:12).<\/p>\n

6. N\u00e9s pour l’adorer<\/h4>\nNous portons cette lumi\u00e8re, non pour attirer l’attention sur nous, mais pour amener les autres \u00e0 adorer Dieu. L’\u00c9glise universelle doit \u00eatre la lumi\u00e8re la plus \u00e9clatante que le monde n’ait jamais vue, et tu fais partie de cette ville qu’est l’\u00c9glise.
\nM\u00eame si le soleil s’enfonce sous l’horizon et m\u00eame si les t\u00e9n\u00e8bres envahissent davantage le monde, la gloire d’une telle ville ne peut \u00eatre cach\u00e9e.
