That was before the true God was revealed. Christ came to reveal the true God to us. In him we are in the True One, for he is the True God (1 John 5).

We also know that God is the creator of all things, including man. However, the gods of old were objects made by human hands. The bye-ri, ngil (for the Fang), and everything else that can be found among peoples throughout the world, but which are objects made from natural materials, are not gods and should not be worshipped.

Man cannot create God. If man creates god, then God is no longer God, for he becomes a creature of man.

However, if the True One had allowed these transgressions at the time, it was only to enable man to learn to worship Him.

God is unique, eternal, and perfect.
