(Matthew 11:12)<\/p>\n<p>This verse can be misunderstood without a comprehensive understanding of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p>The Kingdom of Heaven refers to God\u2019s presence; in simple terms, in this verse, it means HEAVEN\u2014or the place where God\u2019s children go. So, how do we get there? Jesus Christ answered, \u00abFor God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.\u00bb (John 3:16)<\/p>\n<p>If faith is a condition for receiving the grace of forgiveness and for actually gaining entry into heaven, why must we force our way into the kingdom when it is enough simply to have faith? Who is violent, and who seizes the kingdom? Jesus Christ answered with a parable: \u00abIf anyone would come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me\u00bb (Matt. 16:24). The one who uses force is capable of denying himself for Christ\u2019s sake.<\/p>\n<p>Repentance requires self-discipline: the discipline to give up that little sin that distances us from God, the discipline to renounce the pride of the inner \u00abself\u00bb that we so proudly defend, so that Christ may have the primary place He deserves in our lives.
