There is a plethora of interpretations regarding the Book of Life. Some believe that it is only when one accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior that one\u2019s name is written in the Book of Life. Let us examine the Holy Scriptures to gain a deeper understanding of what is truly orthodox.<\/p>\n
1. \u00abMoses returned to the Lord and said, \u00bbAlas, this people has committed a great sin. They have made for themselves a god of gold. Now forgive their sin! Otherwise, blot me out of the book you have written. The Lord said to Moses, \u2018It is the one who has sinned against me whom I will blot out of my book.\u2019\u201d (Exodus 33:31\u201333).<\/p>\n
2. \u00abAdd iniquity to their iniquity, and let them have no share in Your mercy! Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and let them not be recorded among the righteous!\u00bb (Psalms 69:28\u201329)<\/p>\n
3. \u00abThe one who overcomes will also be clothed in white garments; I will never blot out his name from the book of life.\u00bb (Revelation 3:5)<\/p>\n
After reflecting on these three passages, we understand that it is possible for certain names to be erased from the Book of Life. Therefore, we understand that everyone is born with their name written in this book. Notorious sinners, idolaters, followers of pernicious cults, thieves, kidnappers, prostitutes, sorcerers\u2026 your names are in the Book of Life. It is God\u2019s will that all be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.<\/p>\n
All you have to do is have your names recorded in the Book of Life by accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior. This is something you can do.<\/p>\n
By confessing Jesus Christ in your life, you keep your name in that book. But if you don't while you're alive, your name will be cut off.<\/p>\n
What wonderful news to learn that the Lord has inscribed all of us in the Book of Life. It is up to each of us to confirm our name. Hallelujah!!!<\/p>\n
